EPLAN Engineering Configurator Professional

Post by Henk-Jan Scholman » 28 Feb 2017, 11:54

EPLAN Engineering Configurator professional is different from EEC One. EEC One uses Microsoft Excel as a 'database' (a 'flat' one) while EEC Pro uses an Eclipse relational database. This opens up new possibilities: one can create a datastructure (for instance to represent a product structure) with more then one dimension (think IEC 81346).

One can buy 'modules' (API interfaces) to 'connect' with EPLAN P8, Siemens Step7 or generate plain text and thus make it a multi-disciplinary engineering tool.

There are some pro's and con's, some do's and don't s, which can be discussed in this topic... though experienced users are not too many around...

Rumour has it that EPLAN Engineering Configurator Professional has reached end of development ?
