Re: EPLAN Syngineer
I had a short introduction of this new tool. It seems to solve only the problem of mis-communication between different disciplines. Still, you will need some sort of mechatronic model in some sort of a database to specify what information is being exchanged between the disciplines? And some way to b...

Re: Hannover Messe 2017
It was our first meeting in real life and we didn t even take a picture!!
But I think it was a good meeting especially the way we presented us as a collective. A nice team already!

Re: Hannover Messe 2017
There will be a Engineering Base demo for us, starting at 13:00 at the Aucotec Booth, Hall 6, Stand K28. At 13:30 someone from Aucotec will share their view and vision on the near future of engineering with us. If you want to bring the EPICommunity forward, it would be good to show up with as many a...

Re: Hannover Messe 2017
We're invited at the Aucotec booth. Two points on the agenda: what is the vision of Aucotec and EPIC on the (near) future of engineering + how can Engineering Base contribute to that?
What time would suite you guys best (at wednesday)?

Re: Hannover Messe 2017
Yep. He still knows you. You've been at Betagraphics and had a demo, didn't you?
It would be good to show up as a 'community' of forward thinking engineers/consultants.

Re: Aucotec Engineering Base
I visited DS Services on invitation of Charles, last wednesday. They use engineering base for the electrical engineering of their latest print process line. Also talked to the electrical engineers and they confirmed it is a complete different approach to engineering then 'drawing' in Autocad or EPLA...

openCPQ webbased configurator
I've been experimenting with this openCPQ . Had it up and running in a few hours. New to java-scripting though. But programming knowledge rules is just a lot of IF-THEN-ELSE and SELECT CASE statements. It would be interesting to put this on top of a database holding a IEC81346 based product model an...
